Benjamin wants to use his study of Edwin in April (number of the ARENA) this is the Anniversary of your 50th birthday along will a converstion. I will not ask you for a long answers if don't have the time. Brief answers are fine. I have sent you the questions and sent in the answers by Wednesday of next week. I would like the converstion to appear in the April Number. Also, Rabbi Fleischer will present a conversation hopefully in 3 weeks..

California poet. Raised near Vacaville, became a schoolteacher in Coloma and later in Oakland. Became famous overnight with publication of "The Man with a Hoe," his protest against brutalization of labor, in "San Francisco Examiner" (January 15, 1899). Following this success Markham moved to New York where he scored another triumph with "Lincoln and Other Poems" (1901). He became a well-known reader of his own poems and lecturer of idealistic views, but his creative output for remainder of life ...
